Mediterranean Trip Day 9: Where Are You Mykonos?!

I know I shouldn't let mishaps ruin my vacation... but sometimes that's hard! Read to learn how I bounce back when it seems like everything is going wrong.

I woke up bright and early this morning at 6 AM to get ready for a day in Mykonos, ate a quick breakfast in the room, and was just about to leave the room when I heard the fateful *ding* of the intercom.
It was something along the lines of: wind + we are a small ship + there are big ships coming + we don't have a spot in the harbor = we can't go to Mykonos and are spending another day at sea.
What?!
This would be our 3rd day at sea, 2nd cancelled port city, and I'd really been looking forward to seeing Mykonos. Huge bummer. So, what to do? Anger nap. A great thing to do when you are just plain upset is to go to sleep. So that's exactly what I did.
I woke up around noon feeling much calmer and grabbed some lunch before booking myself some spa time (with our ship credit from the cancelled tours). Especially when they cancel ports, cruise lines always have tons of things going on like shows, games, and more. However, I was just in the mood to lay out in the sun and catch up on some reading.
Soon enough it was spa time! I was super excited to get a Sea Lavender Wrap since I'd never done a wrap before, but something got messed up and I ended up with a deep tissue massage instead. Not a big deal though since my massage was great too! Then my mom and I headed over to the french restaurant on board where we split a sea bass wrapped in puff pastry shaped to look like a fish. Honestly, I did not like it, but my mom loved it so... the verdict is still out on that one. Now, with another day at sea done, I'm hoping *fingers crossed* that next time you hear from me, it will be from Athens, Greece!
Always,
Paris
