I will never get tired of waking up along side the ocean and a breathtaking lagoon. The day started off with family breakfast on the patio overlooking the lagoon and of course the cats joined. I had a delicious goat cheese omelet. Soon after breakfast, my mom and I got some peace and quiet while my dad and sister headed to the spa. While they got to relax, I was hard at work on college applications #seniorseason but I really can't complain because the ocean view made my work a lot easier.
My hard work was rewarded with a trip to the spa for my mom and I! The spa office sits right on the lagoon and the treatment rooms are small huts scattered close by. I opted for the 90 minute warming pimento and ginger massage which began with a foot soak on the dock of the spa office overlooking the lagoon. Afterward, I was led to my gorgeous treatment room and began the massage. Let me just say that it was fantastic! My massage therapist focused on my legs and upper back as I had requested, but even included my fingers, toes, and stomach. The massage incorporated warm rice bags and Thai stretches which was reminiscent of my time at a Thai massage parlor during my 2018 trip to Thailand. She used warm pimento and ginger infused coconut oil which is said to relax the muscles and improve circulation, and finished with a scalp massage so I was definitely feeling moisturized by the end.
Basking in my relaxed state, I took a quick exploration around GoldenEye before heading back to do some light work. I finished the evening with a lovely family dinner at the Bizo Bar complete with a virgin strawberry daiquiri. Yummy!
This was a bit of a chill day, but we headed to bed early in preparation for the adventures that would await in the morning! Want to see into the minutia of my daily life?
